Spanish club, Valencia are in the market for a defender (of the right back position) and it seems that they have set their sights on Gregory van der Wiel.

The Ajax defender's agent has revealed that their has been contact with the Spanish outfit but an agreement is yet to be made.

Reports earlier suggested that Dutch star had agreed personal terms with the Spanish club but his agent has denied these claims.

"It's not true that we have already agreed personal terms. Valencia will have to reach an agreement with Ajax first. Everything's going in quite a good atmosphere, though," Slimani told Voetbal International.

His agent however believes that a move would be of benefit to Gregory.

"Valencia would be a great next step in Gregory's career. They really want him as their new right-back and Valencia are a big team in a superb league."

Valencia would be in for stiff competition for the 23 year old starlet as Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus have also been linked with the player.

The 27 year old Croatian player has had a tough time at White Hear Lane as he has been plagued by injury in which he has had little playing time.

Niko has also expressed his desire to leave due to his lack of playing time, as he has been targeted by top clubs such as Roma and Sunderland.

The Midfielder would get his wish granted as Tottenham look to bring in new fresh players with Hoilett being a main target this season.

The 21 year old Canadian attacker has impressed with his combination of pace, creativity and versatility, which would prove to be a great asset in giving Spurs useful attacking options.

The Blackburn Rover's player is out of contract at the end of the season and has so far refused to sign a new deal at Ewood Park.

Junior would most likely favor a move away from Blackburn as they have failed to impress this season and look in serious risk of relegation.

With Harry Redknapp a fan of the Blackburn star the move looks imminent.

"He [Hoilett] is a good player," admitted Redknapp last week.

"We have never made any enquiries for him, but he has been an exciting little player this year."

The Italian hitman is currently out with a knee injury but that hasn't stopped speculation from his representatives that he could return to the Serie A after he fully recovers.

His agent, Federico Pastorello, has claimed that there exist a possibility that his client could join Italian club Napoli.

"Rossi to Napoli? It's normal that Napoli would be considered as they are great club and many players, Rossi aside, would like to join them because they are doing well in the Champions League," Pastorello said.

"Also, Napoli have the advantage of now being able to attract top players in the transfer window compared to the past."

Rossi, 24, isn't expected to bounce back into action until April after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee .

Joe Cole has brought back to life his career as he is currently on loan French club Lille.

The last year winners of the French League are now targeting making the inform Cole, move permanent from Liverpool.

The English man wouldn't mind the move as he has struggled at Anfield after joining from Chelsea in 2010.

Since Joe's arrival, Lille are unbeaten in Ligue impressing Lille's Manager Rudi Garcia and also starring in Tuesday night’s 2-0 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow.

"It is not a certainty that he will leave us at the end his contract," said club president Michel Seydoux.

"If he has a good feeling with Lille and we can make him an interesting offer, this is something we will look into."

Although Joe Cole has 2 years left on his contract at Anfield, he has expressed his enjoyment at playing in France.

The out of favor Arsenal striker who is currently on loan with Premier League team Sunderland, has made it known that he isn't interested in a return to the Emirates Stadium, suggesting that he could continue with the Black Cats.

It was reported earlier that the Danish star would prefer a move to a club that offers Champions League football but Bendtner has denied these claims suggesting poor translation was the reason for his statement sounding that way.

“I’ve never hidden the fact that I’m very keen to play in the Champions League again," he told reporters.

“But I also read that I’d said if I don’t play in the Champions League, I won’t be playing for Sunderland."

“That’s not the case but that’s how they misinterpret Danish into English."

“As a player, you should have ambition – I’m sure every player you speak to wants to play in the Champions League."

“But I haven’t ruled out staying at Sunderland. As I’ve said before, I just want to enjoy the year I have here and then see what happens in the summer.”

Nicklas would most likely want to stay as he has become the focal point of Sunderland's attacks, with the departure of striker Asamoah Gyan and injury to Connor Wickham, he is guaranteed regular football.

Borussia Dortmund's coach has reiterated that the German starlet is going nowhere in the winter amidst the player being heavily linked with a move away form the club.

The player has been targeted by some of Europe's top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

The midfielder has been in blistering form making a name for himself as a world class player but    Jurgen Klopp is certain that there prized asset would not be sold.

"Nothing can happen in January. The alleged interest is not a problem," Klopp told reporters.

"Arsenal are only about 10 per cent of what is written in Germany, so it's not a problem. Apparently, Bayern Munich are interested in him, too."

"Nobody buys a player from Borussia Dortmund just like that. Not even Arsenal."

Jurgen also gains confidence on the fact that Gotze isn't affected by the transfer speculations and that he is completely focused on his current club.

"Luckily, his focus is not an issue. He's very relaxed about that. He scored one against Bayern Munich and I will be happy if he gets the winner against Arsenal."

The German club are in preparing for Premier League team Arsenal as they both square off in the group stages of the champions league on Wednesday.

The Argentine player has caught the attention of many bi name clubs, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Inter Milan being linked the most with the player.

According to Goal.com the clubs are weighting up a move for the midfielder who is worth around the range of  €11.5 million.

The QPR player has been in superb form this season and has been watched closely ahead of this January transfer window with top clubs looking to reinforce their teams.

But the little trickster might favor a stay at his current club due to more playing time as competition would be stiff at those clubs.

Shanghai Shenhua from the Chinese Super League (CSL) club  have confirmed they've "inqured about" the services of Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka, with news within the French media predicting he'll proceed to Asia in the month of january.

It has been said that the French International has become frustrated with the lack of play time, only starting three Premier League matches for the Blues so far. Chelsea would have no choice but to sell the striker due to the fact that his contract expires at the end of this season.

The Chinese Club however acknowledged that they would be in for stiff competition as other Top European clubs are also interested in the Chelsea man.

"It is so difficult. We actually asked about Anelka," a Shanghai Shenhua official told newspaper DF Daily. "We also know he could leave the Blues as a Bosman player next summer but there are so many clubs interested in him"
"AC Milan, Russian clubs and some Gulf clubs. If we want to sign him finally, would cost plenty."
Despite the competition for the French man reports indicate that the frontman has already agreed to join them in a deal that will see him scoop €10.6 million per year.
Harry Redknapp was all full of praises for Luca Modric with the Croatian star stealing the show as Tottenham ran out 2-0 winners over Aston Villa.

Redknapp, who came back to the Whitened Hart Lane dugout the very first time since going through a small heart procedure, continues to be thrilled by the way Modric has struck up a partnership with summer time signing Scott Parker.

Redknapp told Sky Sports, "Luka was fantastic. He was instrumental. He keeps getting on the ball and him and Scott Parker have been outstanding together in the middle of the park."

"I love Luka, I love the way he plays his football and he's an absolutely top-class professional and a great guy."

When the manager was questioned, if there was any news on Modric's contract, Redknapp added, "I don't know where the chairman is. I don't really get involved in that."

The Spurs boss however has insisted that the club need to keep hold of the midfielder if they are to advance in the Barclays Premier League, with the intention of securing a Champions League Spot next Season.

"You've got to keep Luka here. You don't get too many Luka Modrics coming along and we are looking to really be a big club."

Redknapp continued to say that he hopes Modric's contract "gets sorted" with the intention that the Tottenham star stays this season and many more.

Neil Warnock has said he hopes to sign 4 or 5 new players in the month of january, as they won't come to a decision on Adel Taarabt before the transfer window reopens.

Moroccan playmaker Taarabt came back to training with Queens Park Rangers on Monday following a mix-track of his passport meant he was not able to return back from international duty to participate in his side 3-2 victory over Stoke.

Taarabt's absence also left Warnock with no full complement of substitutes for that visit to the Britannia Stadium, and he doesn't desire to be in that position again.

With the manager ceartain that he will get the backing of the board, he has set his sights on bringing in players for this winter.

"They know we need some more players to add to the squad and they have been very supportive," he told Sky Sports News.

"We are on the lookout for four or five players.
"I'm not saying they are all going to be big-name signings, but we need numbers in the squad."
Warnock also refused to say weather or not Taarabt had a long-term future at Loftus Road, with the talented 22 year old being linked with an away move due to the start of a frustrating Premier League season.
The out of favor Juventus Winger is finding life hard on the bench with only 4 starts this season and only completing 1 whole 90 minute game. This weekend made things worst as the Serbian star had to sit out a 3-0 win by his club over Palermo, with reports indicating that the Winger has been saddened with life at the Italian Club.

"The Manager, Conte does not want him. Milos has to play and there are many clubs that are interested," the player's agent Dejan Joksimovic told Il Corriere dello Sport.

"Chelsea and Manchester City both submitted bids in the summer, but these were rejected by Juventus. But the situation is evolving and we will see what happens with [Juventus sporting director Giuseppe] Marotta in winter."

With Barclay Premier League teams looming large the winger according to his agent is most likely to leave because of lack of playing time.

The French power House has set it eyes on the Brazilian star as they look add more quality to their team. With the big spenders looking to win their League this term and also making sure that they qualify for the champions league next season, they are willing to go head to head with English soccer team Chelsea and Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala.

But it has never been a secret, according to Hulk's agent, that current PSG manager, Leonardo, has always been a fan of the Porto man. The agent continued to say that while Leonardo was with Inter and A.C. Milan he tried to sign the Porto man.

"There is nothing concrete between Hulk and Paris Saint-Germain," Teodoro Fonseca told le10sport.com. "Nevertheless, Leonardo has always wanted Hulk at his clubs.

"When he was at Inter and AC Milan, he already tried to sign him."

But he continued to rule out a move this Winter transfer window and reiterated that Hulk is focused on his current club at the moment.

"This winter, no," Fonsenca noted. "Hulk is only thinking about Porto, the Champions League and the Brazil national team."

The only problem that PSG will encounter is the €100 million release clause attached to his contract.

The striker has had a far than pleasant stay at the Italian club and is ready to abandon them, reports Sky Sports Italia.

Currently the Amauri has been excluded from the squad due to his refusal to leave the club last summer.

"I hope this thing [with Juventus] ends as soon as possible. I am counting the seconds and days," Amauri told Sky Sport Italia.

"Will I leave in January, of course."

It is a certainty now that the out of favor player is ready to move on and is keen on doing so in the January transfer window.

Roberto Mancini has confirmed rumors that the big spending English Giants would try to sign the Roman starlet, seeing his contract running out at the end of this season.
Rossi would be a great addition and would help the big spenders in their quest to win trophies this season.

Mancini told Corriere Dello Sport: “It’s difficult for a Roman player to leave the city, Romans are very fond of their specific lifestyle and surroundings. It wouldn’t surprise me if Daniele De Rossi signs a contract extension."

"Alessandro Nesta managed to move away from Rome and adapt to his new surroundings. He has a different character than Daniele though."

"That doesn’t mean that we’re giving up on him. If De Rossi becomes available one day, Manchester City will try to sign [him], just like Real Madrid, Chelsea and all the other big clubs."

"He’s a superb player and one of the few who would be able to blend in in a top team. He’s a complete midfielder with a lot of quality and experience.”

A.S. Roma would have no choice but to consider selling the Italian player to the English Soccer Team in the January transfer window, because of fear of him not renewing his contract.

The Serie A champions want to sign a alternative for Antonio Cassano, who faces a extended spell on the sidelines following heart surgery.

Cassano has gone out for six weeks after going through effective minor heart surgery.

AC Milan are thinking about creating a bid for want-away Manchester City attacker Carlos Tevez, based on report in Italia.

Althought Milan have been linked with Catania's Maxi Lopez, Roma's Marco Borriello and Chelsea's Didier Drogba in the past few weeks, securing the services of Tevez on a six-month loan deal, with the intention of a permanent one is most likely La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Manchester City star future is very much in doubt with the club after falling out with manager Roberto Mancini and he wants to leave the club in the january transfer window.

Although Mancini claims Tevez can continue to possess a future with the Premier League leaders if the striker apologises, it seems highly unlikely that this will happen given the Agentina star's attitude.

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has indicated that the club may need to sell England defender Gary Cahill in the month of january instead of risk losing him for free at the finish of his contract.

Against all the odds the Trotters held onto the to the Bolton star in August following a deal for the English man to become a Tottenham flattened on timeline, while Chelsea also have emerged as challengers to sign the center-back, permitting him to partner John Terry for club and country.

Coyle told reporters: "I would like to use Gary Cahill every single day each week as lengthy when i could because he's a high player along with a fantastic youthful guy."

"Sometimes situations are removed of the grasp. I'll wait and find out what The month of january brings."

Cahill came from Aston Villa for approximately £5 million to Bolton in the month of january 2008 and he has since gone onto set up himself  a regular starting postion for both club and country.

Coyle added: "Gary Cahill's a high-class player and he'll still improve."

"Another evening [against Sweden] it looked this kind of assured performance, himself and John Terry formed an excellent partnership, as they did within the last qualifying games."

The Bolton Manager will have alot on his mind, as time draws closer to the January transfer window, he would have to think quick as whether to sell the player or not.

Thursday 17 November 2011
Manchester United is the likely the most successful English Club in history, winning a 19th Premier League title last season, something no other English club has ever done. Sir Alex would hope to make it 20 League titles this season and in order to make this historical goal realistic, he would have to have to dip into some funds to buy reinforcements.

Why you may ask? Well after their Humiliating 6-1 defeat to rivals Manchester City, eye brows were raised as to if this current crop of players had credentials to become champions. Ever since the retirement of Paul Scholes and the injuries that have haunted defender Rio Ferdinand, many have questioned United's Defense and Midfield.

Though, United could boast of their attacking prowess, with the likes of world class strikes, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez along with speedy and skillful wingers, Nani, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia. However we see much more is needed if they want to meet the likes of their Rivals City and also Spanish Giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. With that being said here is a list of players who have been monitored closely by the Red Devil's Manager.

WESLEY SNEIJDER

1) Wesley Sneijder-  He is a Dutch footballer who is currently with Italian Giants Inter Milan. He plays as an Attacking Midfielder/Play Maker and is highly rated as1 of the world's best creative midfielders.

United have been trying to sign the Dutchman since the last summer transfer window, as a replacement for Paul Scholes  but the deal collapsed due to the heavy price tag the Inter Milan star carried.

United however would be keen on bringing him in this January transfer window as the Red Devil's current Midfielders haven't  really put in star performances for the 1st half of the season so far and also with their Rivals on top the League.

MARIO GOTZE

2) Mario Gotze- The German footballer is currently playing with last season's Bundesliga Champions, Borussia Dortmund. The attacking midfielder, age 19, is among the most popular prospects in Europe, having his name haunting Bayern fans this weekend as he scored the winner against Munich. With Fergie's philosophy of investing in young talented players, the Scott would be tempted to make a bid for the young German star.

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN

3) Christian Eriksen- The young Danish star, at the age of 19 is already been marked as a world class player with a bright future ahead of him. He currently plays with Ajax and is targeted by a lot of top European clubs. With Sir Alex still looking for a Paul Scholes replacement, Eriksen would be a good investment.

JAVI GARCIA

4) Javi Garcia- The Spaniard, who has the amazing ability to destroy plays, is currently with Benfica and has been on Manchester United's Radar a while now.

With departure of Owen Hargreaves, United have literally no defensive midfielders in the squad with the likes of Carrick and Fletcher playing makeshift ones at times.

With United back line being easily exposed these days, Sir Alex would want to bring in the midfielder this January transfer window.

JAVI MATINEZ

5) Javi Martinez- The Spanish midfielder is quickly making a name for himself at Athletic Bilbao, combining his explosive/lung bursting and rampaging runs with his keen eye for goal.

The Athletic man is sought after by many top European clubs including United rivals Manchester City. The only thing that would deter Ferguson is the huge price tag that he carries (£34 million).

NICO GAITAN

6) Nico Gaitan- The Argentine, 23, who plays for Benfica, has been in fantastic form so far this season and has caught the eye of the Red Devil's Manager when United where held to a 1-1 draw by Benfica. Reports indicate that Sir Alex is very much interested in the winger and is willing to compete with other top European clubs for the young Benfica star.

RICKY VAN WOLFWINKEL

7) Ricky Van Wolfswinkel- The young Dutch striker has caught the eye of United's manager with his pace and tricky skills reports the Guardian. The only problem would be that he would have a tough time for a starting position competing with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez.

MILOS KRASIC

8) Milos Krasic- The Juve Player who is the splitting image of football legend Pavel Nedved is under going a tough patch at the Italian club. United were linked with the Serbian star a while back but their interest has been rekindled, looking to take advantage of the fact that the player has fallen out of favor with the club.

MATEO KOVACIC

9) Mateo Kovacic- The 17 year old is already being called the new Luca Modric and it has been reported by the Metro that he favors move to United rather than Arsenal. The young Croatian star has already made his intentions known and it would be up to Sir Alex if to invest in another promising player.

SHINJI KAGAWA

10) Shinji Kagawa- The Borussia Dortmund star has been linked with the Red Devils a while now and with the red outfits still in the hunt for a replacement for Paul Scholes they would be tempted to submit a bid for the player in the January transfer window. United would be in for stiff competition as the player is being also targeted by A.C. Milan, Juventus and Liverpool.
