Reports indicate that in the last couple of days, Turkish club Galatasaray have shown interest in signing Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov in the January transfer window.

The clubs president has now confirmed that they are interested in signing the 30 year-old.
Gala President Unal Aysal told Hurriyet: “ Were not just looking at Berbatov; we’re interested in a number of players,”

“Yes, we’re thinking of forwards, but now is far too early. We can only get in contact and decide at the end of December, when the time comes. We have four or five players in mind. But we can’t say that we want to buy any one player because we have not decided yet.”

So Bulgarian striker is sort after by the Turkish giants. The question therefore, is should he be allowed to leave United. These days he is another attacking option for Sir Alex Ferguson but he hasn’t really done much for United so far this season. This is due to the consistant form of Wayne Rooney and form rise of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck recently, making him fall to forth choice striker.

French giants PSG have also been linked with a move for the striker as of recent. The club were linked with a £20million move for Berbatov in the summer past but could return with an improved bid in January.

In the end Berbatov has fallen to the bottom of the pecking order at Manchester United. With the looks of Welbeck and hernandez and the fact that he isn't getting any younger, he should leave if he has any hope of saving his career.
