Neil Warnock has said he hopes to sign 4 or 5 new players in the month of january, as they won't come to a decision on Adel Taarabt before the transfer window reopens.

Moroccan playmaker Taarabt came back to training with Queens Park Rangers on Monday following a mix-track of his passport meant he was not able to return back from international duty to participate in his side 3-2 victory over Stoke.

Taarabt's absence also left Warnock with no full complement of substitutes for that visit to the Britannia Stadium, and he doesn't desire to be in that position again.

With the manager ceartain that he will get the backing of the board, he has set his sights on bringing in players for this winter.

"They know we need some more players to add to the squad and they have been very supportive," he told Sky Sports News.

"We are on the lookout for four or five players.
"I'm not saying they are all going to be big-name signings, but we need numbers in the squad."
Warnock also refused to say weather or not Taarabt had a long-term future at Loftus Road, with the talented 22 year old being linked with an away move due to the start of a frustrating Premier League season.
