Wesley Sneijder has been a long awaited Manchester United target. With Inter Millan looking to cash in on the highly rated attacking midfielder, paving way for the Italian giants to buy, Lille’s sensational Belgium midfielder, Eden Hazard, United’s interest in the Dutch play maker has been reignited.
Sneijder was close to a move to the English power house last summer, but the deal collapsed due to the 40 million price tag on the player and pay wages required. Now with Internazionale looking for funds to buy new players this season and also United’s 6-1 humiliating defeat to rivals Manchester City, Fergie would have no choice but to buy the Holland star to enforce his somewhat “leaky” midfield.

But there is also another midfielder that has been gaining a lot of plaudits as of recent and could make Sir Alex rethink buying costly Wesley Sneijder. Mario Gotze has taken the football world by storm, with his combination of speed, technical skill and creativity, making him an already highly rated attacking midfielder.
With Ferguson philosophy of investing in young talented players, and Mario already making a name for himself at the age of 19, might have the long serving Red Devil’s Manager thinking of placing a bid for the newly found Borussia Dortmund star.
So the question comes down to who really Manchester United should buy.

Mario Gotze statistics for the past 3 seasons
On paper Wesley Sneijder is better than Mario Gotze, with the only advantage the German having is that he has youth on his side. But regardless of the Dutch star being up in age (27) he has loads of experience while Mario still has a long way to go. So I would say that Manchester United should but Wesley Sneijder.
